A useful concept is worth coming back to. Learn where your current work is saved, how to keep a separate copy, and how to let someone else explore it.
Understand browser autosave
Your current scene stays in this browser
The studio saves the current design in your browser as you work, even without an account. It can restore that scene when you return using the same browser and site data.
Keep a separate copy of work you value
Clearing site data or using a private browsing session can remove local work. Browser autosave is not a named library of every design you have made.
Save a named cloud design
1. Sign in and open Designs
Use the account menu to open Designs. Choose Save current as… and give the scene a name you will recognize.
2. Check the save status
After you open a cloud design, edits save to it when you pause. Check the save indicator for a synced state before leaving.
3. Open it again when you need it
Return to Designs to reopen, rename, or manage the saved project. Your plan's cloud-design allowance applies to these named designs.
Download an editable backup
Open Export and choose JSON design file. Keep the downloaded file somewhere you can find it. Use Import in the studio to reopen that design later. Back up and restore a design step by step.

Share a view of your home
Create the link
Find a cloud design you own in Designs and use its share-link control. Copy the link and send it to the people you want to show.
Know what visitors see
Anyone with the link can look around and walk through the latest saved design without an account. The view is read-only. Shared pages carry a small Made with ChatHome.ai badge.
Turn off access
Revoke the share link when you want it to stop working. Sharing the design again creates a different link. Existing links do not preserve an earlier version of the design.
Add a named collaborator
Open the member controls on a cloud design you own. Enter the email address of an existing ChatHome.ai account and choose editor or viewer access. Choose and manage the right access.
The project appears in that person's Shared with me list. Tell them it is there; the service does not send an invitation email. Learn how live collaboration works.
Keep a revised idea as an alternative
When a generated revision offers Update or Save as new, choose Update to keep it in the existing cloud design, or Save as new to make a separate design. Check which project is open before continuing to edit. Keep and compare separate design alternatives.
There is no automatic version history. Save separate copies or JSON files for the directions you want to retain.
