Know what uses a generation and when it returns
Your generation allowance counts successful AI design runs within a rolling 24-hour window. Use the allowance display in the generation panel to see what remains, and visit Pricing for your plan's current limit.

A successful design run counts even if you prefer another result or choose to keep the scene already open. Saving the result as a cloud design is a separate action.
Follow the rolling 24-hour window
The count looks back over the preceding 24 hours. As each successful run moves outside that window, it stops contributing to the usage count.
A simple timing example
Suppose your account records a successful design at 9:00 on Monday and a successful revision at 15:00. Assuming no other runs, both count on Monday evening. Just after 9:00 on Tuesday, the first run has left the 24-hour window; just after 15:00, the revision has left it too.
This example describes the timing only. It does not assign a limit to a particular plan, and allowance becomes available gradually according to when each run was recorded.
Use review time well
Understand before revising
Read the result notes, inspect the plan, and use Ask to understand a room size or design choice. When you know what you want to change, a focused revision gives the next run a clear purpose.
Keep exploring by hand
You can measure a room, move furniture, compare saved views, or refine a brief while waiting for allowance to return. These activities can help you choose the next design change.
Distinguish the allowance from other limits
Cloud design storage controls how many named designs you can keep in your account. The generation allowance controls successful AI runs. Downloading a backup or saving another copy does not itself generate a new design.
A conversation also has its own length
A design conversation can reach its turn limit even when generation allowance remains. Follow the panel's New thread instruction when that happens. Opening a new thread does not reset the account's rolling usage count.
Use the generation panel's current message to distinguish an allowance limit from a conversation or temporary request limit. The plan comparison keeps the current prices and allowances together.
